SUP IN THE SKY is scheduled to be held on May 22nd and 23rd, but there is an emergency declaration centered on the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Unfortunately, this year's event will be canceled due to the extension.
Last year it was held instead of under a state of emergency, but considering the current domestic situation,
We decided that it would be difficult to hold the event.
Thank you for your understanding.
In addition, the entry fee will be refunded in full to all the participants who applied.
Participants will be notified of the refund procedure by the event secretariat.
We also hope that the day we can meet you in the field will come as soon as possible.

About new coronavirus infection prevention measures
On the day of the event, participating athletes and people involved in the event are requested to measure the temperature by themselves, and those who are above 37.5 ° C or who are in poor physical condition are requested to refrain from participating in the event.
The temperature of the participating athletes will be measured at the reception. (People with a body temperature of 37.5 ° C or higher may decline to participate)
Please be sure to wear a mask in the venue except during the race or when you go out on the lake by SUP.
In addition, we request that all people involved in the event, such as event participants, spectators, and staff, take thorough measures to prevent infection with the new coronavirus.

Regarding the refund of the entry fee when the event is canceled, we will contact the participants after the event is decided to be canceled.

Kaneko Kenny
Ocean paddler representing Japan. 4x All Japan Champion (2019, 2018, 2017, 2014)
Born in Chigasaki and raised in Southern California.
Started surfing from an early age and played an active part in soccer as an American youth representative (under 13-15). Aiming to become a professional soccer player, he returned to Japan at the age of 17, but retired due to an injury.
When he was in his second year of college, he started outrigger canoeing under the influence of his father and learned about the charm of rowing the sea. After graduating from International Christian University in 2010, he started SUP (Stand Up Paddle) in earnest in 2013.
Won the All Japan SUP Championship the following year. From 2015, he will race overseas.
2016, The 2nd Hong Kong International SUP Championship Won the championship. In 2019, he won the 4th All Japan Champion and 6th place in the SUP World Championship. The toughest crossing strait race in the world held every year in Hawaii , MOLOKAI 2 OAHU WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS to the podium for the first time in Japan.
Currently based in Hayama Town, Kanagawa Prefecture, while competing in overseas and domestic races, the spread of ocean sports in Japan through the development of unprecedented Asian fit paddles and the planning of SUP race competitions for children. We are focusing on activities.
